Cheerleader for God!!! Wow- It is amazing what happens when we pray to God to be used for Him, for His purpose, not ours. I continually ask God to increase my circle of influence for Him, and for Him to direct my paths. And yet AGAIN, He answered my prayers! I have been called to focus more directly and deliberately growing FCA’s female sports side, specifically through cheerleading. When we stretch and strive to fulfill God’s purpose and not our own, we are able to grow in faith and trust that God’s goals are way better than any goal we could come up with on our own!

First off, I am so excited to be able to announce that a door has opened for us to expand FCA’s mission and vision to see more athletes and coaches impacted for Jesus Christ through sports into Cobb County Schools!! The schools I need you to pray about are: Alatoona, Harrison HS, Kennesaw Mtn HS, Mt Paran School, North Cobb HS, North Cobb Christian School, Sprayberry HS, Kell HS, and Lassiter HS. Pray that the coaches are open and supportive, pray that the girls are ready and are looking for something real to fill the void they have, and to stop filling that void with sex, drugs, alcohol and poor decisions.

Secondly, for the past year, I have been super Blessed to work with a young man, Matthew Blaylock. Matt was a star football player with a full scholarship to play college ball. Unfortunately, the night before his high school graduation, Matt’s years of bad decisions caught up with him. He dove into the shallow end of his neighborhood pool while partying and broke his C4 & C5 and is now paralyzed from the shoulders down. God has placed me in Matthew’s life to encourage and support him on his journey of sharing how God has turned a tragedy into a triumph for our Lord to as many people as we can.

When people ask me what I do for a job, it is easy to say that I work for FCA-and many have never heard of us, a small, but mighty band of warriors fighting on the battlefield’s and campuses for salvations. We plant seeds and encourage good decisions. We put on our armor every day to defend the enemy, who wants our young men and women to believe the lies society has told them that they can do anything they want, and its ok. So sometimes when asked, I say I am a cheer leader for God-and I am investing all that I have to get in front of as many young people- especially the girls and share God’s TRUTH and His love…so will you join me in supporting this precious ministry and help plant seeds of salvation?
