Tom Joyner

East Cobb Coaches Director:
Married 25 Years to the love of my life, Lisa Tway Joyner, we have two beautiful daughters. Both are juniors: Jessie (20), GSU and Jami (17), Pope High School. Joined FCA fulltime September 2007 as Adult Director, my position has evolved from middle / high school campus ministry to community working with Adults / Volunteers to focusing strictly on developing deeper relationships with coaches in mentoring and discipleship programs centered on Christ Jesus.  I accepted Christ as my Savior at age 9 and recommitted my life at age 33 to follow Him as my Lord.

I left the corporate environment after 18-1/2 years with the same company Rohrer Corporation when I was called into full time missionary ministry to serve coaches and athletes. Every day is truly a blessing to rise early in serving coaches while helping them to grow in their walk with our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.

I graduated in 1980 from John Nichols High School, (Oxford Orphanage; Oxford, NC) lettering in three sports Baseball, Basketball & Soccer. Recived an Associate Degree in Print Technology in 1982 from Chowan College; Murfreesboro, NC.  I have enjoyed many years of playing sports as well as coaching our girls in basketball and soccer during their years of growing.  I have served as Upward Softball Director as well as a Prayer and Devotion Coordinator for the Upward Programs. I currently serve on JFBC Deacon Ministry as well as several other ministries within Johnson Ferry Baptist Church where we have been members since 1995.

My focus and life goals are to daily serve in obedience to His calling in fulfilling the great commission. Matthew 28:18-20 “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Praise!  Please prayerfully consider joining my home team..
